Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner to join our Property Services team, delivering high?quality repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works across our social housing portfolio. The ideal candidate will take pride in their craft, work safely and efficiently, and provide an excellent service to residents.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out a wide range of joinery tasks including:

Door hanging, lock fitting, and ironmongery installation

Kitchen installations and repairs
-
Skirting, architraves, and general second?fix joinery
-
Flooring repairs and replacements
-
Window repairs, including timber and UPVC
-

Complete planned maintenance, responsive repairs, and void property works.

Diagnose issues on site and determine the most effective repair method.

Ensure all work meets relevant safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Maintain accurate records of work completed using handheld devices or job sheets.

Work respectfully in occupied homes, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.

Liaise with supervisors, planners, and other trades to deliver a seamless service.

Adhere to health and safety procedures, including safe use of tools and equipment.

Represent the organisation professionally at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Proven experience as a Joiner, ideally within social housing or domestic settings.

NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent qualification).

Strong problem?solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Good understanding of building regulations and health & safety requirements.

Full UK driving licence (company vehicle may be provided).
Desirable

Experience working in occupied properties.

Multi?trade skills (e.g., basic plumbing, plastering, or tiling).

Knowledge of social housing standards and void property processes.
